Taking on the challenge of pastels. A Talbert LB paneled pumpkin, a sandblasted Rad Davis squashed apple, Old Boy lighter, and a really cool Art Deco amber glass tobacco jar with a bakelite lid. As much as anything, doing these works vastly increases my respect and appreciation for the masters of drawing and painting, not to mention talented and skillful pipe carvers.
