Through a designer's eyes

A lot of my work is about creating order in the midst of what seems to be chaos. I've done it so long that I see it almost everywhere I look. Lately, this truck and corn crib have stopped me every time I pass them when I go to visit a jobsite I'm working on up in Germansville, PA. The coincidence of these rectangular grids.

In the world, outside of the shapes I arrange in my mind, I often find the most captivating examples where forms are weathering and decomposing to their skeletal essence. Only a few minutes out of a stressful afternoon to indulge my obsession, but it somehow soothed me. Better, I think, than drugs, alcohol or mindless TV watching.
